Mollys are livebearers who are found all through central America and the gulf coast states. Here in Florida they are usually raised on fish farms close to the coast because the water will have a little salt in it. If you have mollys and they are not doing well in your tank you can add a small amount of rock salt or aquarium salt to make them more comfortable. If you need to add salt you probably will only need a teaspoon of salt per 20 gallons. This makes them a great addition to a community tank.
